2023 has been a year of remarkable transformation and growth for JCT Solutions. The highlight of the year was the opening of a state-of-the-art facility in East Brunswick, symbolizing not just physical expansion but a redefinition of technology's role in serving communities. This facility is a testament to JCT's commitment to growth, innovation, and customer-centric service, embodying the vision of transforming New Jersey into a technologically advanced and safe state.
President of JCT Solutions, Steve Mullen, emphasizes this commitment, noting that the new facility is more than just a building. It's a hub of innovation, bringing cutting-edge technology and exceptional service to the forefront, placing the people of New Jersey at the heart of their operations. The facility plays a pivotal role in expediting projects for local communities, like bringing free WIFI to public spaces, enhancing security with increased camera surveillance, and extending technology's reach throughout New Jersey.
George Sode, Executive Vice President, reflects on JCT's journey, highlighting that every step and solution crafted has been customer-oriented. This expansion underscores JCT's dedication to delivering unparalleled service and solutions that profoundly impact lives and contribute to building a better future.
The support and collaboration with valued customers have been instrumental in JCT’s achievements, and we're excited to share the following 2023 milestones with you.
January set the stage with JCT’s presence at the Techspo conference. This event was not just about showcasing our latest innovations; it was an opportunity to learn about the trends and technologies that matter most to our customers and use that knowledge to steer our course for the rest of the year.
Come March, the PreAMP event on the 15th was a game-changer. Tailored to enhance our sales and marketing strategies, this event was pivotal in refining how we connect with our customers and understand their needs. With new tools and techniques in hand, we've been better equipped to provide the solutions that best fit the evolving demands in the connectivity and cloud marketplace.
April was a busy month, with our participation in the NJCM, NJ GMIS Tech ed Conference, and, internally, a special Bring Your Kid to Work Day. Each event allowed us to deepen our connections within the community and industry, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of innovation and service excellence while engaging with different sectors, from local government to education and fostering a family-friendly workplace culture.
In May, our commitment to work closely with county governments across the state played a pivotal role in expanding the technology and services provided for constituents across New Jersey. This collaboration, grounded in a deep understanding of local needs, ensures that our initiatives are both relevant and impactful. Our partnership took a significant step forward when the New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) provided us with further insights into local government needs. This valuable input from the NJAC has been instrumental in aligning our solutions with the specific requirements of this vital sector. Such alignment is crucial for fostering growth and progress throughout New Jersey, demonstrating how our focused efforts are making a tangible difference in the lives of its residents.
June was a pivotal month, the highlight of which was the opening of our new building in East Brunswick, a testament to our growth and commitment to providing our customers with even better services and solutions. The strategic location of the East Brunswick facility is a game-changer, boosting JCT's service efficiency and responsiveness across New Jersey. This central hub significantly reduces response times and ensures rapid access to essential parts and equipment, reinforcing JCT's reputation for delivering critical solutions to the community.
In June, JCT made its presence felt at the "Women Mean Business Summit" on June 13th, underscoring its commitment to supporting and promoting women's roles in business and technology. As detailed in Union County's announcement, this summit provided a platform for networking, learning, and collaboration, aligning with JCT's ethos of inclusive growth and diversity. We also participated in the Police Expo, demonstrating our dedication to enhancing public safety through technology. Our involvement shows our continuing commitment to providing state-of-the-art solutions for law enforcement and public safety agencies, reflecting the company's broader mission to serve and protect the community.
July saw us undertake a major project in South Jersey, demonstrating our capacity to handle large-scale projects and deliver results that impact our local communities positively.
August to September was a period of consolidation and planning for upcoming projects.
October was a showcase of our technological prowess and commitment to future talent. The Technology Summit with Extreme, our participation in the NJSBA, and the Essex County College Job Fair were all about exploring new technologies and identifying fresh talent with new ideas and methodologies to drive our client’s success.
November was a blend of new projects and community engagement, with the NJ League of Municipalities, our collaboration with EtherWAN, and an IScream Truck event for our employees, showcasing our ongoing dedication to both innovation and our team's well-being. Steve Mullen and George Sode have consistently emphasized the company's commitment to innovation and customer-centric service.
This ethos was further illustrated in a special event on November 30th, featuring a meeting and photo opportunity with Kean University President Lamont Repollet, artist Tino Cook, and others. The backstory of this event is fascinating. John Stampone, our printer, introduced us to Arthur Pickney, the owner of Artsworld, a framing shop and platform for local artists. It was here that we were introduced to the works of Tino F. Cook and eventually acquired a piece of his art for our office. Details of this can be found HERE, and it symbolizes JCT's support for local artists and collaboration with institutions like Kean University, reinforcing our commitment to community engagement and cultural enrichment.
Finally, the year culminated in December with the JCT Holiday Party, celebrating a year of hard work, achievement, and partnership with our customers.
Reflecting on JCT's origins as Johnston's Communications and its evolution following the 2019 rebranding, the company has grown immensely. Today, JCT is one of the largest system integrators in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area, offering diverse services from traditional voice systems to advanced data, wireless networking, video surveillance, access control, and 911/emergency dispatch solutions. The core values of JCT, driven by a management team with decades of experience, remain steadfast, steering the company toward continued excellence and innovation.
As we reflect on 2023, it's clear that our journey has been about more than just growth and innovation. It's been about strengthening our relationships with you, our customers, and ensuring that we continue to deliver solutions that meet your needs and exceed your expectations. JCT's journey has been a story of customer focus and technological leadership, aiming to light up New Jersey with technology and growth.
